Free AI training, curated
You do not need to pay for good AI training. The main providers all publish free, self‑paced courses, and some of them are excellent. Here is where we would start, and why.
Anthropic Academy
Anthropic’s free courses are the clearest we have found on the skill that actually matters: working with AI effectively, efficiently, ethically and safely, rather than just learning where the buttons are. The AI Fluency material is vendor‑neutral thinking you can apply whatever tools you use.
We are independent: no vendor alliances, no reselling, no commissions. We recommend these courses because they are good, not because anyone pays us to.
Also free, also worth your time
OpenAI Academy
Free, self‑paced ChatGPT courses by role, including ChatGPT at Work, Prompt Engineering and Introduction to GPTs. No technical background needed.
Google Skills
The free Introduction to Generative AI path covers the fundamentals of large language models and responsible AI in a few hours. Note: Google’s fuller AI Essentials course now sits behind a subscription.
Microsoft Learn
The AI learning hub’s free paths for business users, including Work Smarter with AI and Copilot in your daily work, are the natural pick if your business runs on Microsoft 365.
Training makes individuals faster. It is not transformation.
Send your team on these courses, they are free and genuinely useful. But twenty‑five years ago, the businesses that won with Lean were not the ones who sent people on training courses. They were the ones who redesigned the process itself. AI is the same story. Courses build fluency; changing how your business runs takes hands‑on work inside your processes.
